The Blessing of the Lord

Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” Genesis 1:28 NKJV

In the context of the above scripture, at creation, God bestowed upon man His goodness, pleasure, the power of increase, and power to rule over everything in the earthly realm.  There are laws that govern all things in the Kingdom of God. God’s Law of Living in the Kingdom is the blessing of the Lord.  “It is the blessing of the Lord that makes rich, [and] He adds no sorrow to it” (Prov.10:22 NASB). The blessing makes us rich, i.e., enables us to accumulate, grow and increase, and have a full supply. The good news is: God’s blessing requires no toil, no grievous labor.

The blessing of the Lord empowers us to “rule” over everything, in every arena of life, as we walk in the Word of God. His blessing puts us over in every situation as we listen to the Spirit as He speaks (John 16:13). God’s blessing is available to every believer—He is no respecter of persons. Believers are to have “dominion” over everything on earth. But we must enlarge and renew our thinking because God has no boundaries (Eph. 3:20). To receive the manifestation of the blessing, we must believe, then, we must also conceive in order to receive the blessings. Don’t limit God and His ability to bless. His Kingdom of blessings are with us (Luke 17:21). We just need to believe and act as if it were already so (Rom. 4:17). Stop praying for the blessing and start saying it and commanding the blessing in Jesus name.

When the planted seed of God’s Word is conceived in your heart along with God’s great Holy Ghost anointing and boundless grace, the Lord God will multiply and make us fruitful a thousand times over in bless using us, as He promised (Deut. 1:11). Thank God for the blessing of the Lord!
